Against black or white, the colour is clearly defined; among stronger tones, it helps build a layered wrist. With earth tones it feels more understated, while black gives it a more graphic edge.
Look closely and the character of this bracelet comes through in the details: mustard gives depth to the geometry of the beads and lets the handwork reveal itself gradually. More restrained than a bright yellow, it has a presence of its own and is easy to combine.
The bracelet is made in Kenya by Maasai women artisans, who join glass beads by hand to build each composition. It draws on a bead-jewellery tradition found throughout the community and shared by women, men and children.
